So…Canada’s looking pretty good.

What’s going on in the world? Health care reform, social security will be bankrupt in a few years, medicare will be too, unemployment above 10%, getting more troops into some other fucked up third world country, right hates left and the president, left thinks the right are a bunch of whiners, people can’t get jobs, people are losing their homes all over the place, bankers are getting richer and richer, so are the insurance companies and their executives. Does any of this matter to me – no not really. This is all about who is getting money from who to make sure their bill gets passed so they can get more money from the taxpayer.

Some private (read profit) insurance company is planning on kicking out 600,000+ customers from their health care because it means them not making as much profit as they would like to make. They make enough to pay their CEO 24,000,000 (twenty-four million) dollars this past year but not enough to keep these people on so they still have health insurance. WTF? If that shit doesn’t scream public option, I don’t now what the fuck does.

I just signed Di and I up for health insurance, we can’t really afford it but, in this fucked up country of ours, you have to have it. I just hope we don’t get sick and need to use it because it will probably be taken away at that point. I’m looking for another job but, the problem is that there are people with degrees who are applying for the same jobs I am. Jobs that don’t require a college education. How the fuck do I compete with that? I’ll tell you how – I can’t!

This country is a joke, hell this whole society we live in is one big fucking joke. People are more worried about some rich ass and what will happen on their television “reality” show this week and could give a big fat fuck all about how screwed up things are now. I honestly love to hear when something horrible, really horrible happens to these people. Take Tiger for example, what an asshole, I hope he loses everything.

Canada is looking really good to me these days. Better brush up on those three years of French I took in high school. The US is neck deep in corruption, bullshit and greed and I am just tired of paying into a system that could give a lesser shit about me and my family.

I didn’t even get into the religious stupidity we have here either… (oops, sorry – religious stupidity is redundant)

RI bishop asked Kennedy in 2007 to avoid Communion – Yahoo! News.

If I remember correctly, when this country was founded there was this little clause about the separation of church and state. Our founders knew that religion has no right in the governance of the country and they, quite properly, made that very clear.

Well, over two hundred years later and the damn catholics are still doing everything they can to control how this country runs and enforce their bullshit hypocrisy on everyone else.

If it’s made clear that catholic members of the congress and the senate are taking casting their votes based on religious views, as they are, it’s pretty clear who is actually in charge of their politics.

I have the freedom of religion and, more importantly, the freedom FROM religion. This backwards ass country we live in seems to be trying to revive the dark ages, you know, when the church was the absolute governance. They were called the dark ages for a reason.

If I remember correctly, priests, bishops, cardinals, and popes all take a vow of Celibacy (aside from altar boys), Poverty (they have so much money it’s not even funny), and Humility (telling the members of the senate and congress how to vote).

Bullshit. Religion needs to go, no matter what, in the end, it will need to control everything and everyone while destroying logic and rationality in the process.

Intelligence Squared

A little while back there was a debate on whether or not the Christian church was a force for good in the world. Christopher Hitchens and Stephen Fry stood on the side that it is not a force for good. The whole debate is about 5 videos long and really quite informative and entertaining.

Here is the entire debate

“You Lie!”

While I was watching the President give his speech about health care reform I was expecting the same easy going, verbally excellent type of speech he always gives. Then, he suddenly broke out the pissed off voice and tone, I was impressed. He laid out, very clearly, that he’s sick and tired of all the bullshit the right has been spewing all over the place. He called them out on how they don’t care about the reform, they just want Obama to fail.

Then it happened, one of them yelled out “You lie!”. I don’t believe, ever, that a President has ever been disrespected in that way in Congress. Wilson, the asshat, who yelled it, essentially represented the mindset of the current build of the republican party when he said that. Unbelievable. I wonder how those morons at Fox handled that? (I don’t watch Fox News at all, they make me too angry) What type of spin did they throw out to make it seem like it was the right thing to do?

Regardless, I hate politics. I am neither Democrat or Repbulican. I think they are all controlled by the Bankers, they are all dirty, they are all liars. It’s just the Democrats turn to play leader-figure-head and the right can’t take it. They are throwing a collective fit on the floor and doing everything they can to confuse the American people.

Just a bunch of fucktards you people put there.
